The south of the island is dominated by the beautiful and majestic Sanap cliffs, which are still a bit of a mystery that many tourists don't know about. Among the locals, the cliffs are also known as Ta' Ċenċ Cliffs.
The huge photogenic white cliffs are an impressive spectacle at any time of the year, and are especially magical at sunset. The walk along the cliffs is very comfortable, and part of the way is even covered by a new hiking trail.
How to get there
The only way to get directly to the cliffs is on foot along a very comfortable and newly developed hiking trail, which is one of the most beautiful in Gozo.
Both ends of the trail can be reached by car or bus.
The path over the cliffs connects the village of Xlendi with the town of Ta'Sannat and is 4 km long in total. The path towards Xlendi is more comfortable as it is practically all downhill.
Bus line 305 runs once an hour from Victoria to Ta'Sannat, while lines 306 and 330 run to Xlendi.
