The tiny island about 45 minutes from the mainland of Borneo has become a popular place for tourists to go to learn more about sea turtle conservation.
The local marine park offers a two-day package, which if purchased will contribute to local turtle conservation while you watch the eggs being laid and enjoy the beautiful beaches and snorkeling during the day.
The turtles lay eggs all year round, but the best time to visit the island is between July and October when the sea is calmer.
