The Museum of the Occupation of Latvia focuses on the dark history of Latvia from 1940 to 1991, when the country was occupied by the German Nazis and the Soviet Union.
The exhibition includes documents of intergovernmental agreements, photographs and museum objects telling the story of the tragedy of the Latvian nation caused by foreign powers.
The building is located in the centrally located Rātslaukums Square next to the House of Blackheads.
Opening hours and entrance fees
Open every Saturday to Wednesday from 10:00 to 18:00. The museum is closed on Thursdays and Fridays.
