Transportation from Varadero Airport

Varadero

From the airport most travelers will have arranged a transfer to the hotel through a travel agent.

There are also Viazul long-distance buses outside the terminal and there are always a large number of taxis.

Transportation with travel agency

If you have bought a tour to Cuba with a travel agent (flight + accommodation + airport transfer), you will collect your luggage and walk out of the transit area after passing through immigration.

Travel agency delgates are waiting in the arrivals hall.

They will already guide you to your bus, which will take you directly to your hotel at no extra charge.

The journey to the hotel zone in the resort of Varadero takes approximately 30 minutes.

Taxi

There are no mobile apps in Cuba and taxis are not equipped with meters.

A taxi to Varadero will cost about 30 cuc. Always arrange the price in advance.

There are always plenty of taxis at the airport and in town for every arrival and departure.

Many taxi drivers will charge a per person amount, but this is not the norm. If the taxi driver wants a per person amount and not for the whole car, refuse the ride and find another taxi.
