Car rental

Travel through the countryside and comfortably visit the famous chateaux on the Loire River, which are found in great numbers just around the city of Tours.

While the larger towns and more famous castles can be reached by train or bus, the smaller castles are only conveniently accessible by car.

Several car rental companies have a branch at Tours Airport, with Avis having the greatest availability.

Taxi

There is an official taxi rank outside the terminal, but you may find that there are no taxis waiting for you after your scheduled flight arrives. The price to the city centre is normally around 20 eur.

Tours also has a mobile app called Uber. You will usually wait 5-10 minutes for a free car and the price to the centre is similar to taxis: around 20 eur.
