Tivat is one of two Montenegrin airports, along with Podgorica TGD Airport, located a few metres from the Adriatic Sea, 7 km from the historic city of Kotor and 21 km from the resort of Budva.
Therefore, Tivat airport is more a matter of summer charter flights, with off-season flights mainly to Belgrade and Istanbul.
Tivat is famous among aviation enthusiasts for its photogenic location at the foot of high mountains, as well as for the road and beach adjacent to the runway.
The airport terminal is small and very clear. In the summer season, expect large crowds in a small area with not enough seating.
