New airport in operation in 2023 Siem Reap-Angkor SAI built on a different site well away from the world-famous Angkor Wat monument.
Cambodia's largest airport is located just 5km from the world-famous Angkor Wat temple complex. It is mainly the destination of tourist flights from China, Korea, Japan and other destinations, with frequent air links to the capital Phnom Penh.
The terminal is built in imitation of the original architecture, the interior is relatively modern but can be quite crowded during the tourist season.
