Reykjavik Domestic Airport in a nutshell

Reykjavik

Reykjavik Airport (RKV) is a small domestic airport near the centre of the Icelandic capital. It is often confused with KEF Reykjavík-Keflavik, the only major international airport 50 km away, which receives all international flights from Europe and America.

The city's airport is the only domestic airport in Iceland, but some flights from Greenland also fly here. All flights are operated by Icelandair, Eagle Air or Norlandair.

The only terminal is very small, you walk no more than 30 metres from the entrance to the aircraft and the check-in process is very fast. Usually you just need to arrive 40 minutes before departure.

There is no security check for domestic flights.
