Getting from Rennes Airport

Rennes

The airport is connected to Rennes city centre by the C6 bus line, where 1 ride costs 1,80 eur.

There are also many car rental companies in the terminal and taxis are available.

Bus C6

Exit the lobby, cross the street where taxis park and descend the stairs to the bus stop (towards the right).

The C6 line goes directly to the centre of Rennes (République stop) and continues on to the eastern part of Rennes.

If you are heading to the train station, change at the Saint Jacques - Gaite stop to the green line B metro line, which takes you to the "Gares" station. Alternatively, you can walk in about 15 minutes from the République stop.

Fares for 1 ride cost 1,80 eur. If you transfer to the metro, you will have to pay again 1,80 eur. The easiest way to pay this fare is with your own credit card, which you attach to the yellow reader inside the bus. The fare will be loaded on your payment card - you will not have a paper ticket.

However, you can buy a paper ticket of the same value at the information desk in the arrivals hall, where you can also buy a day pass for 4,80 eur valid for that calendar day on all bus and metro lines in Rennes.

Travel around Brittany by car and discover the beautiful corners of the French countryside not often reached by public transport.

There are several car rental agencies right in the arrivals hall.

Prices for weekly rentals start at 250 eur.

Taxi, Uber

There are always a large number of taxis waiting outside the arrivals hall for each scheduled arrival. The price to the city centre is around 18 eur and can be paid by card.

Uber also operates in Rennes and can offer a lower price than a regular taxi, starting from 16 eur. However, car availability tends to be poor, especially in the morning and evening.

Train

The nearest train station is located about 1,100 metres from the airport and is called "Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande". Only regional trains on the Rennes-Redon route pass here at irregular intervals (about 8-10 times a day in total).

Long-distance trains to Paris, Brest, Quimper or regional trains to Saint Malo leave from the main station in Rennes.
