Getting from Ras al-Khaimah Airport

Ras al-Khaimah

There is a public bus service to the airport and taxis are available.

Transportation with travel agency

If you have purchased a tour with a travel agent (flight + accommodation + airport transfer), you will collect your luggage and exit the transit area after passing through immigration.

A delegate from your tour operator will be waiting for you in the arrivals hall to guide all passengers to the bus directly to your hotel.

Taxi

Taxi is the most used mode of transport to/from the airport.

There are always plenty of taxis waiting at the airport and they run strictly with the meter on. The price of taxis to the city centre or Al Hamra station is depending on the traffic 40 aed to 55 aed.

The Careem mobile app also operates in Ras Al Khaimah.

City bus

The Green Line bus of the local carrier RAKTA stops directly in front of the terminal.

The buses go to the centre of Ras Al-Khaimah (sometimes also referred to as Sharjah, but this is just a coincidence of names with another Sharjah town closer to Dubai) to the Manar shopping centre in the Al Nakheel district.

The Green Line runs every day. You pay your ticket with a credit card at the driver's desk, only Visa cards work here. The alternative is to pay in exact cash.

  • Price - 8 aed
  • Frequency - 60 to 90 minutes
  • Journey time - 35 minutes

Bus to Dubai

There are no direct intercity buses from the airport. First, you need to get to the main bus station at Al Hamra, where you can use the frequent bus service to Dubai, Sharjah and other cities.

At Al Hamra Station, you can use the city buses. First, take the green line from the airport to the terminus at Manar Mall (about 35 minutes), where you change to the red line towards Al Hamra station (about 50 minutes). Fares for both lines are 8 aed, so in total 16 aed.

Buses from Al Hamra station run once an hour and the prices are as follows:

  • Dubai - 27 aed
  • Sharjah - 27 aed
  • Ajman – 20 aed
  • Umm Al-Quwain - 15 aed
