Transport from the airport to the nearby centre of Poznan is provided by public bus line 159, or you can also use line 148 to get to the airport. Official taxi services or airport car rentals are available.

Bus

Travellers will almost always use only bus line 159 to get to the city centre, which departs directly from the airport terminal and goes all the way to the main bus and train station in the city centre. It runs frequently and will get you from the airport to the centre in less than 25 minutes.

You will find the bus stop immediately outside the terminal exit by the arrivals next to the taxi rank.

Tickets and prices

You can buy your bus ticket at the bus stop from a ticket machine, or by card on the bus itself, or via the moBILET, Jakdojade or mPay mobile apps.

You can pay by card or cash at the ticket machine, but on the bus you can only pay by card, and you can pay for several tickets together on one payment card.

To get from the airport to the city centre, use a 45-minute ticket for 6 pln, or you can buy a 24-hour ticket for 15 pln.

If you plan to explore the local museums and attractions immediately, it's worth getting a tourist card along with a 24-hour ticket from the tourist information desk, which you'll find in the arrivals terminal.

Lines and timetables

You can use two bus lines to the airport, running along almost the same route. At the Rondo Kaponiera stop you can change to tram lines 2 or 13 in the direction of the historic centre.

  • 159 - goes to the main train station via the Rondo Kaponiera stop
    • Journey time - 25 minutes
    • Frequency - 15 to 20 minutes
    • Last bus from the airport - 0:32
    • First bus to the airport - 4:02 on weekdays, 4:35 on weekends

An alternative to the aforementioned line 159 is line 148, which departs from the Malechowska stop about 750 metres from the terminal. On the way to the airport, it stops on the main road in front of the airport, about 350 metres from the departures, so you can easily use this line as well.

  • 148 - the same route as line 159, but only goes to the Rondo Kaponiera stop
    • Journey time - 21 minutes
    • Frequency - 20 to 30 minutes
    • Last bus from the airport - 22:39
    • First bus to the airport - 5:01

Night transport

Bus line 222 runs once an hour from about 23:00 to 4:00 directly to the centre.

Ticket prices remain the same.

Car rental
