The Leoš Janáček Airport is located in the village of Mošnov, about 23 km from the centre of Ostrava.
Most of the traffic is mainly charter flights to the sea. Regular flights are operated only by Ryanair to London and Málaga and LOT to Warsaw, through which it offers a large number of connecting flights to the whole world.
Ostrava has a single small terminal, it's clear and relatively spacious and the check-in process takes just a few minutes.
The departures section is in a modern larger building, while arrivals are handled by the old smaller terminal directly adjacent to the new one. It will be sufficient if you arrive 75 minutes before your scheduled flight departure.
Ostrava Airport is the only airport in the Czech Republic and Slovakia that has a direct connection to the railway with regular passenger transport, details of the connection can be found in the Transport chapter.
