Taxi
Well-known mobile apps like Bolt or Uber don't operate in Ohrid, so you'll have to settle for regular taxis.
There are always plenty of them waiting at the airport for every arrival.
Taxameters are not used here, and rides are based on the official prices available on the airport's website, for example: ohd.airports.com.mk/taxi.
- 730 mkd / 12 eur - Ohrid Centre
- 790 mkd / 13 eur - Struga centre
- 1 950 mkd / 32 eur - St. Naum Monastery
When travelling from the airport, taxi drivers usually offer official prices directly, but when travelling from the centre to the airport, they usually start at prices around 20 eur.
You can pay in cash only in Macedonian denars and also in euros without any problems.
Car rental
There are several international car rental companies at the airport, such as Hertz, Sixt and Europcar. Goldcar, a car rental company known for its unfair treatment of clients, also has a branch here.
Prices for weekly rentals start at 150 eur.

Public transport
Until 2019, red double-decker buses operated local public transport to the airport. However, they are currently not in service and the airport is not served by any form of public transport.
Minibuses running from Ohrid to villages north of the airport stop on the main road 50 metres from the terminal, but the timetable is nowhere publicly available and services run irregularly 1-2 times a day.
Would anyone flying from Vienna to Ohrid on Saturday morning (6.05am departure) like to share a taxi from the airport to Ohrid?
Hi, we are flying in two and would love to join and split the taxi money :) Elizabeth
