Shops and supermarkets

JFK Airport is well stocked with shops, especially after security.

Popular Hudson News mini-markets with drinks, snacks and basic groceries are located throughout the airport, including the public areas of the terminals. You can also purchase a Metrocard at the Hudson News branches in the arrival halls of Terminals 1 and 7. However, you can also buy them directly from the metro stations without any problems.

Expect duty free shops, fashion, accessories, electronics and travel gear stores in the transit areas of all terminals.

Restaurants

Many bistros, fast-food outlets and full-service restaurants in all terminals will satisfy your hunger.

Generally speaking, there is always more choice after security, but even in the public areas there is always a café or fast-food outlet.

Although JFK is a huge airport with all-night operations, very few branches are open 24 hours a day.

Vending machines

All terminals are full of vending machines selling a variety of goods.

There are vending machines with drinks, sweets, but also drugstores and pharmacies.

ATMs and exchange offices

Only SDI, CXI, ICE and Travelex operate currency exchange offices and ATMs at the airport, with high fees and unfavourable exchange rates. There are no ATMs operated by regular banks.

We recommend that you leave your withdrawals until you reach the city and pay for transport by card.

Drinking water

All terminals have free places to fill your own bottles with drinking water after a security check.
