Getting from Mostar Airport

Mostar

Due to low traffic, public transport to Mostar Airport is operated on an ad-hoc basis according to the current flight schedule.

Car rental

There are several car rental companies in Mostar, including international companies (e.g. Europcar). Although there are no rental counters at the airport, if you book a car with a pick-up point in the terminal, a rental agent will be waiting for you upon arrival and will take you to the rental office in the city centre.

Due to little competition, rental prices are high and start at 400 eur for a week in high season.

Taxi

You'll have no problem getting a taxi from the city centre to the airport. There are many taxi services available in the city at all hours of the day and night.

However, there are usually no taxis waiting at the terminal on the way from the airport to the city centre and it is advisable to book a ride in advance. There are no mobile apps for ordering taxis in Mostar. The most reliable company in Mostar is called "MojTaxi". Contact details can be found on the official website: mojtaxi.net.

The price to the centre of Mostar is approximately 12 bam. You cannot pay by card in the taxi, but the drivers normally accept euros. As the Bosnian convertible mark has a fixed exchange rate against the euro, the amount in euros should always be half the amount in local currency.

Public transport buses

There is a special free bus service to the airport connecting with Croatia Airlines flights to/from Zagreb. Official information is neither on the Mostar Airport website nor on the transport company's website.

The bus departs from Musala Square 90 minutes before departure. It only goes to the city centre from the airport when all passengers are off the plane.

The nearest stop for regular public transport lines "Ortiješ I" is located on the main road about 1,200 metres from the terminal (see: walking route map). Lines 28 and 29 run through the bus stop to the centre of Mostar about 1-2 times per hour on weekdays and once per hour on weekends.

Timetables can be found on the website: mobus.mostarbus.ba/red-voznje, only departure times from the terminals are given.

The ticket for zone II for 2,50 bam is payable in cash only at the driver's desk.
