Public transport is not available from Mombasa Airport to the city centre.
There are only taxis, Uber, Bolt, rental cars or private transfers if you stay in one of the expensive hotels.
Bolt / Uber / Taxi
Taxis via the Uber or Bolt mobile app are the easiest and safest transport to central Mombasa and are usually available all day.
The price is calculated according to the current demand and to the centre of Mombasa is around 680 kes.
To Diani, 45 km away, expect a price around 4 350 kes.

Regular city taxis must always be booked at the special counters in the arrivals hall. On the way to the airport you can call a taxi through the hotel or by waving on the street, but in this case you run the risk of being overcharged several times.
Car rental
Kenya has a relatively good road network, which is one of the reasons why individual travellers often want to rent a car directly from the terminal.
There are several car rental companies at the airport, including well-known international brands.
Weekly rental prices are around 300 eur.

Transport with a travel agent
If you have bought a tour to Kenya with a travel agent (flight + accommodation + airport transfer), you will collect your luggage and walk out of the transit zone after passing through immigration control.
There are travel agency desks right in the arrivals hall where delegates are already prepared.
They will already guide you to your coach, which will take you directly to your hotel at no extra cost.
Public transport
There are no city buses or local minibuses to the Moi Airport terminal in Mombasa.
