Marrakesh Menara Airport in a nutshell

Morocco's second largest airport is located 8 km from the historic centre of Marrakech. Due to the great popularity of the central part of Morocco, many low-cost connections fly here, mainly from Western Europe. Ryanair has one of its large bases here.
There are also regular flights to Marrakech from countries in North Africa and the Middle East.
When leaving the airport, you must always print a paper boarding pass at the counter. Even if you are travelling with hand luggage only, you must go to the check-in desk and have your boarding pass stamped.
This rule also applies to low-cost airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air and others. To get a free paper boarding pass without a check-in fee, you must be checked in online in advance.

Hi, is there any difference between Marrakech and Agadir when flying without checked baggage in terms of time required to be at the airport before departure? Where is it easier and quicker to depart from in terms of security checks, etc.? Thanks

Hi, you always go through security without checked baggage, so there is no difference from that point of view.
There may be a time saving at check-in where you don't have to queue if you have a printed boarding pass from your hotel/home.
2.5 hours before departure will definitely be enough.

Hi, I need to find out
1. Whether it is necessary to show the return ticket on arrival if I don't know the exact return.
2. How strict is the checking of hand luggage. I want to bring dietary fiber, larger quantity, but can't original packaging.
3. Where and how can I get a SIM card for a late arrival (10:30pm). eSIM I can't use because when I register in AIROLO the email that goes through and is supposed to contain a 4-digit code doesn't contain any code (just a yellow rectangle).
Thanks for the info

No one ever asked me for a return ticket ....

How about the luggage and the SIM card?
Airalo is not the only eSIM vendor in the world.

Hi, I've flown out of RAK twice now, always with Ryanair and I've always had my boarding pass printed in advance because I know it's needed. But is it necessary to have it printed out even when flying with Air France ?
Hi,
I am looking at a self-transfer itinerary through Marrakech next month with separate airlines. If I already have my boarding pass printed before my first flight for my connecting flight, would I likely be able to use the transfer lane to go between my first and second flight, or would I get sent through immigration and to the second airline's check-in desk? Is this worth contacting the airline to ask about? The final destination is my home/passport country
Thanks

Hey. Hey,
If you only have hand luggage, you can go straight through transit to the departure gate - there is a transit area.
If you had checked baggage, you would need to pick it up and re-check it, including going through immigration.

Latest information about Marrakech Airport:
You may encounter unpleasant people upon arrival, which can leave a bad impression. But in reality, the situation changes completely before departure - everyone is friendly and everything runs smoothly.
The boarding pass will be printed at the counter anyway, so you don't need to print anything in advance.Marrakech airport is new, clean and comfortable. It's just a 10-minute walk to the bus stop on the main road, where you can take bus 11 or 12 to the city centre for just 4 dirhams and 15 minutes.
Or directly opposite the arrivals hall exit take bus 19 for 30 dirham.
I flew from Marrakesh with Austrian and online check-in didn't do it (only the VIE-PRG segment), so I had to go to the check-in desk where there was a queue and it was slow. The security check went quickly
Lounge sucks.
On arrival they wanted to see the boarding pass (arrival). I don't understand why, but it satisfied them.
Please note that the drone needs to be registered on arrival (even if it is 249g). They would confiscate it on departure without registration. If you don't, you can cut the propellers and claim you're just using it as a camera. That's fine with them.
