Lourdes-Tarbes Airport is accessible by two bus routes and there are several car rental branches in the terminal.

Public transport buses

Regular buses run all year round to both Lourdes and Tarbes. Each town is on the opposite side of the airport, so pay attention to where the bus departs. Both buses leave from the same stop outside the terminal.

Tickets for all routes can be purchased from the driver with cash or credit card.

Lourdes

There are two bus lines to Lourdes.

  • The "Navette Aero" line runs to the airport during all scheduled departures and arrivals (including Sundays and public holidays). It does not stop in any towns on the way.
  • The TL line runs with regular frequency and makes several stops along the way

Tarbes

You can also use 2 bus lines to Tarbes.

  • Line T7 goes to Tarbes station and also stops in Juillan on the way
    • Price - 3 eur
    • Journey time - 35 minutes
    • Frequency - 7 times a day from Monday to Saturday, does not run on Sundays and public holidays

  • The TL line runs with a regular frequency and makes several stops along the way

Car rental

Rent a car if you are going to the Pyrenees in addition to Lourdes. Especially to rural areas, public transport is poor and almost non-existent at weekends.

Weekly rentals in the summer or winter season start at prices around 300 eur.

Taxi

There's no need to take a taxi to the airport as all flights are followed by a bus to Lourdes.

However, if you are heading to Tarbes on a Sunday or want to go directly to your hotel, there are always plenty of taxis waiting at the airport. The price to both Lourdes and Tarbes is 30 eur.

The mobile app Uber also operates in the area, through which you can get a price around 25 eur.
