Karlovy Vary International Airport remains in the hands of management that cannot get the flight traffic moving, so you have to put up with only 4 departures a week to Russia and a few charter departures during the summer months to seaside resorts. From time to time, a short-term service for spa tourism, mainly from the former USSR or Israel, diversifies the service.

In the spring of 2017, the German airline Germania started flights to Karlovy Vary from Düsseldorf, but after a few weeks it permanently discontinued them due to tragic occupancy (an average of up to 10 people per plane for 120 passengers).

Since February 2018, the Russian low-cost carrier Pobeda has been flying from Karlovy Vary.
