The vast majority of travellers use conventional taxis or the Uber / Ola mobile app to get from the airport to Jaipur city centre.
Taxi / Uber / Ola
Taxis are the most convenient and straightforward transport option to the city centre.
You can pre-pay for official taxis at the arrivals hall and pay nothing to the taxi driver after that.
The mobile apps Uber or Ola usually offer lower prices, and their taxi stand is about 75 metres to the left of the terminal.
Average prices to central Jaipur are as follows:
- Taxi - 600 inr
- Uber / Ola - 460 inr
Public transport - bus
There are no buses directly to the terminal, however there is a public transport stop approximately 200 metres from the airport on the main street (see map).
There are 6A buses that go through the centre to the western part of Jaipur. The bus stops are poorly signposted and there are no maps of the route network, so the bus service to the airport in particular is very confusing for unfamiliar tourists.
Moreover, buses run at very irregular intervals of 45-60 minutes.
The fare is paid to the conductor inside the bus in cash only and is 20 inr.
