Buses to Gothenburg
From the airport to Gothenburg city centre you can use up to 4 different bus companies, which differ mainly in the frequency of their services. Three of them operate direct services and the fourth one represents public transport with transfers.
The bus stop is located directly in front of the terminal. Once you exit the baggage claim area, take the first door on the right and you are at the bus stop.

Direct buses
The best option for travellers is the frequent service provided by VY Flygbussarna. Buses leave from the airport every 15 to 30 minutes and reach the city centre with 2 stops in the outer city centre in less than 25 minutes.
Tickets can be purchased locally at credit card machines located in the airport lobby, at the bus stop and also in the opposite direction at the Nils Ericson bus station. However, you can get the lowest price by buying online on the company's website:

Public transport
The last option is to travel by public transport. This involves one transfer in Landvetter. This is the cheapest but slowest way from the airport.
First you need to take bus line 612 from the airport to Landvetter, where you change to Röd buses. The journey takes between 40 and 60 minutes and a ticket for AB zones will cost you at 72 sek when purchased via the mobile app. Ideally, you can use the Västtrafik To Go mobile app, see Transport in Gothenburg, to plan your ticket and the entire journey, including transfers.
