The airport has excellent train connections to Gdansk and Gdynia, plus bus routes to both cities + Sopot. Tickets are the same for all modes of transport, the train is faster.

Train to Gdansk

At the airport you'll find the Gdańsk Port Lotniczy train station, with SKM trains departing every 15 minutes to Gdansk-Wrzeszcz station with a journey time of 21 minutes. Here you can change to other SKM lines to Gdańsk Glówny (historic centre) or Sopot, as well as numerous tram and bus lines.

The ticket price is 4,80 pln when purchased from a ticket machine at the bus stop or 5,09 pln online via the website polregio.pl. This ticket is valid for one journey only.

Alternatively, you can buy a metropolitan 24-hour ticket for 30 pln for all types of public transport in Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia or for 26 pln for Gdańsk only.

Train to Gdynia

There are also trains from the station directly in front of the airport to the city of Gdynia on the other side. The interval is similarly irregular to the journey to Gdańsk (13-60 minutes). There are slightly fewer connections to Gdynia than to Gdansk.

The ticket price is 7,40 pln when purchased from a ticket machine at the bus stop or online via the website polregio.pl. This ticket is valid for one journey only.

You can also use the train to travel to Kartuzy, a town near Kaszuby National Park.

Bus to Gdansk and Sopot

Alternatively, bus routes 110 (to Gdansk-Wrzeszcz), 210 (to Gdansk-Glowny) and 122 (to Gdansk-Oliwa and Sopot) cost from 4,80 pln. You can buy a ticket at the ticket machine at the bus stop or on the Jakdojade mobile app (available on Google Play / App Store). Timetables can be found on the website ztm.gda.pl/rozklady.

The ticket for 4,80 pln is valid for one journey only, the alternative is a transfer ticket for 6 pln for 75 minutes, but this is only available via the mobile app. The ticket can only be used on ZTM buses and trams, not on trains. You can also buy a 24-hour ticket for 18 pln, again only for buses and trams, not trains.

  • Line 110 - interval 20 to 30 minutes, first connection from Wrzeszcz station at 4:52, last connection from the airport at 22:46, journey time approx. 30 minutes
  • Line 122 - interval 60 minutes, first connection from Sopot at 4:31, last connection from the airport at 22:05, journey time approx. 45 minutes
  • Line 210 - interval 30 minutes, first connection from Glówna station at 4:30, last connection from the airport at 23:11, journey time approx. 35 minutes

At night (0:00 - 5:00) there is a night bus line N3 to Gdansk-Glowny.

Car rental
