Luggage storage
You can store your luggage in the office at the departure lounge entrance. It is open 24/7.
The fee for taking your luggage to the luggage room is 3 usd or equivalent in Sri Lankan Rupees.
There is also a 24-hour fee 6 usd to 8 usd depending on the size of the luggage.
Dining options
Restaurants can be found almost exclusively after the security check. All dining options are open 24/7. Where is the best place to eat?

Smaller cafes or kiosks are also available. In general, the airport is not very well equipped with food options.
Shops and supermarkets
After security you can shop mainly at duty free shops and also come across fashion stores and many souvenir stalls.
You can also use the airport's "Cargills Food City" supermarket located in the public area of the departure lounge. It is open 24/7.
In the arrivals area you will be surprised by the number of shops selling large household appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators.

ATMs and exchange offices
In the arrivals hall you will find a large number of ATMs of Sri Lankan banks that dispense only Sri Lankan rupees.
Tourist services in Sri Lanka, as well as long-distance buses and trains, for example, can also be paid for with US dollars, which you should ideally bring from home.
Currency exchange facilities are available at many banks in the arrivals hall. Bank branches, especially in the public area, have very good exchange rates. Worse rates are at the kiosks in the baggage belt room.
