Castellón Costa Azahar Airport in a nutshell

Costa Azahar

Castellón Airport was opened as a brand new airport in 2012 in the middle of the wilderness, far from the larger cities, with the aim of boosting tourism on the nearby Costa Azahar.

It wasn't until 2015 that the first scheduled flight arrived, and even now the modern, futuristic terminal looks more like a ghost airport. Scheduled flights land here roughly 10 times a week from 5 locations in Europe during the winter and up to 15 destinations during the summer. Flights are mainly operated by Ryanair and Wizz Air.

You can also buy tickets from Castellón to anywhere in the world with one change in Madrid at iberia.com.

The nearest major city is Castellón de la Plana (33 km), followed by Valencia, 105 km away, where you can use the much larger Valencia VLC airport with a much better range of connections.
