Berlin Schonefeld Airport in a nutshell

Berlin

In connection with the opening of the new Berlin-Brandenburg Airport , Schönefeld Airport will be permanently closed to scheduled operations in November 2020. The former main terminal of Schönefeld Airport now serves as Terminal 5 for the new Brandenburg Airport.

Berlin Schönefeld Airport is currently a base mainly for low-cost carriers EasyJet, Ryanair and charter companies. In the near future, it is expected to be expanded with new terminals and airfields to become the new Brandenburg Airport. However, the start of operations has been postponed several times and each new date has so far brought no change.
