Getting from Belfast Airport

The 300 bus service to Belfast city centre stops right outside the terminal. Buses 109A or 109D run to the nearest town, Antrim, where you can change to the railway.

You can pay your fare by contactless card directly with the driver.

Northern Ireland is a popular destination for road trips along the wild coast and lakes. You can even cross the border into neighbouring Ireland with your hire car without any problems.

There are international and local car rental offices right in the terminal. Prices for a week in the peak summer season start at 200 gbp.

Buses to Belfast

The airport is connected to Belfast city centre by the 300 line. Some services are designated as line 300A, which indicates an added stop at the interchange car park on the outskirts of Belfast. However, journey times are only realistically extended by approximately 1 minute.

Fares

All ticket types, including day tickets, can be easily purchased via the mLINK mobile app: translink.co.uk/OurApps/mlink.

Pay for a single ticket by simply swiping your contactless card on the reader at the driver's seat.

A return or all-day iLink ticket is also available for all buses and trains in and around Belfast. To get to the airport, you need an all-day iLink for Zone 3 for 15 gbp. A day ticket for the whole of Northern Ireland costs 18,50 gbp.

You can buy a return ticket and a card to load your iLink day pass and other tickets from the arrivals hall at the visitor information centre. When travelling to the airport, the card can be purchased at the main bus station.

Timetable and route

The 300 buses take an express route directly into the city centre, stopping at Queen Street at the Europa Buscentre.

Bus to Derry

You can get to Derry by direct Aircoach buses on line 705X or cheaper with a transfer.

The fastest

Direct services from the airport to Derry city centre run 24/7 every 2 hours.

Cheapest

The cheapest way to get from the airport is by bus 109A or 109D to Antrim, where you change trains for Londonderry. The journey takes a total of 1 hour and 50 minutes.

A one way ticket for 3 zones costs 15 gbp and is valid for the whole day.

Bus to Dublin

Direct services from Belfast Airport also run across the border to neighbouring Ireland.

Aircoach buses on the 705X service run to Dublin city centre (O'Connell Street) with a stop at Dublin DUB Airport.

The journey takes 1.5 hours and a timetable with online ticketing can be found on the website: aircoach.ie.

  • One way ticket - 18 eur
  • Return ticket - 25 eur

Ticket prices are the same to Dublin city centre and Dublin Airport.

Buses to Antrim/Lisburn

Bus routes 109A and 109D run to Antrim, the nearest town with a railway station, and to Lisburn, a southern suburb of Belfast, on the other side.

On Sundays and public holidays, buses only run between the airport and Antrim.

Only all-day fares are available on the 109 line and can be purchased at the visitor centre in the arrivals hall or on the mLINK mobile app: translink.co.uk/OurApps/mlink.

  • Price - 15 gbp all day for 3 zones / 18,50 gbp all day for the whole of Northern Ireland
  • Travel time - 10 minutes to Antrim; 47 minutes to Lisburn
