Find out what services and facilities are available at Basel Airport. Where is the best place to eat and where to shop?
Internet and wi-fi
Freewifi is available through the "Free_EuroAirport_WiFi" network. The connection is limited to 2 hours, after which you simply log in again.
Do not delay after arrival by buying a physical sim card. Get a Swiss data e-sim quickly and easily at airalo.com.
Luggage storage
There is no luggage storage at the airport. Automatic luggage lockers can be used, for example, at the main station in the centre of Basel.
There is a charge for all-day storage at 12 chf.
Shops and supermarket
You can buy takeaway food at two mini-markets:
- Monop'daily - transit zone, 4:15-21:00
- Bert's - transit zone, 4:15-21:00
You can buy drinks, sweets and other snacks at several other Relay or Hudson News newsagents.
You'll find the other stores mainly after the security checkpoint, and you can usually only purchase duty free items there. In general, Basel airport is not very well equipped with shopping options.
Dining options
You won't find many cheap dining options at the airport. Restaurants are unnecessarily overpriced and there aren't many in the section after security. You'd better eat before you go to the airport.
Which restaurants have the longest opening hours?
- Paul: Bakery - public area, Concourse 1, 4:00-19:00
- Weckmann: fast food - public area, Hall 4, 4:00-19:00
- Starbucks: coffee shop - transit area, 4:30-9 p.m.
A list of all restaurants is available on the airport website: euroairport.com/bars-restaurants.

Access to the lounge is free for Priority Passs, Lounge Pass cardholders. Other passengers will pay 35 chf.
The lounge is open daily from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and can be booked online at the official website: executivelounges.com/skyview-lounge.
Showers
Public showers are only available within Skyview Lounge.
There is a charge for access to the lounge 35 chf and additional charges for use of the showers 10 chf.
ATMs and currency exchange
The currency exchange branches in the arrivals hall have very unfavourable rates.
We prefer to use the "Crédit Mutuel" ATMs located throughout the airport. The ATMs allow you to withdraw euros and Swiss francs.
