TUI Airways always allows free check-in at the airport, but you can also check in online and avoid queues, especially if you are travelling with hand luggage only.
Check-in at the airport
Check-in at the airport counter, including the printing of your boarding pass, is always free.
Check-in desks at major UK airports are usually open all day. At international airports, you can usually check in 3-4 hours before your flight.
The counter closes 60 minutes before departure for long-haul flights and 45-50 minutes before departure for flights within and around Europe.
Online check-in
Online check-in from home via the internet is possible 14 days - 1 hour before departure. However, for some destinations, online check-in is only triggered 48 hours before departure and for flights to/from the USA it is possible 24 hours before departure.
Online check-in is available at: tui.co.uk/managemybooking/login.
If you are travelling with hand luggage only and are checking in online, go straight to security at the airport.
If you have checked-in luggage, you'll hand it in at the drop-off desk.
Seat selection
To avoid random seat assignments, you have the option to purchase a specific seat of your preference during the ticket purchase process or at online check-in.
For shorter flights within Europe, seat selection is charged from 14 gbp and for long-haul flights from 21 gbp.
If you do not select a seat, you will be randomly assigned a seat for free.
