Was your flight with SunExpress cancelled or delayed by 2 hours or more? Then you are entitled to compensation of up to 600 eur per person.
You can claim compensation directly from the airline or simply and free of charge from specialist agencies.
Compensation under EC Regulation 261 applies to all flights with a point of departure in the European Union. As the airline is registered in Turkey, flights departing from non-EU airports are not covered by this regulation.
Delayed flight with Sun Express
If you experience a delay of 2 hours or more at the departure gate, SunExpress must provide you with a free refreshment proportionate to the length of the delay.
If the length of the delay at the arrival airport is 3 hours or more, you are also entitled to financial compensation of 250 eur to 600 eur depending on the distance between the two airports.

Cancelled flight with SunExpress
If SunExpress cancels your flight more than 14 days before departure, you are entitled to a free change of date or a refund of the original ticket price.
However, if your flight is cancelled less than 14 days before departure, you are also automatically entitled to financial compensation up to 600 eur.
Again, compensation will only be due if the airline cancels the flight and not due to unforeseen circumstances.
