Sichuan Airlines allows you to check-in at the airport without a fee.
The check-in counters are normally opened 2-3 hours before domestic departures and 3-4 hours before international departures.
The latest check-in time is normally 60 minutes for international flights and 40 minutes for domestic flights.
Online check-in
Sichuan Airlines does not allow online check-in for international flights.
You must always visit the airport counter, even if you are travelling with hand luggage only.
Seat selection (seating)
You can select your specific seat on the aircraft free of charge when you buy your ticket or later on the Sichuan Airlines website (Manage my bookings section).

But you should be able to check-in in Rome in an hour and a half.
