SATA Air Acores in a nutshell
SATA is a Portuguese airline based in the Azores. In 2016, it established a subsidiary , Azores Airlines, which flies all routes outside the Azores.
SATA Air Açores itself then concentrates on routes between the Azores islands, Madeira and the Spanish Canary Islands. The airline's main bases of operation are at Ponta Delgada PDL and Terceira TER.

In its fleet, SATA has smaller propeller Dash 8 Q400 and Dash 8 Q200 aircraft for 50-70 people.
The central emblem of the airline in the logo and on the aircraft is a beautiful stylized hawk, the bird after which the Azores are named. The shape of the bird is made up of 9 geometric shapes symbolizing the 9 Azores islands.

I can only recommend Sata Azores Airlines. I flew Porto-Ponta Delgada; free check-in at the airport, free large and small cabin baggage, small snacks during the flight. I paid about 2 000 CZK for a return ticket. Plus birds singing when boarding the plane :-)
