SATA Air Acores in a nutshell

SATA is a Portuguese airline based in the Azores. In 2016, it established a subsidiary , Azores Airlines, which flies all routes outside the Azores.

SATA Air Açores itself then concentrates on routes between the Azores islands, Madeira and the Spanish Canary Islands. The airline's main bases of operation are at Ponta Delgada PDL and Terceira TER.

In its fleet, SATA has smaller propeller Dash 8 Q400 and Dash 8 Q200 aircraft for 50-70 people.

The central emblem of the airline in the logo and on the aircraft is a beautiful stylized hawk, the bird after which the Azores are named. The shape of the bird is made up of 9 geometric shapes symbolizing the 9 Azores islands.
