Hand luggage
Finnair is joining the low-cost airlines and introducing a special lowest-cost Economy Superlight fare, where you are only entitled to carry a small carry-on bag.
On this fare, you are only allowed to take a 40 x 30 x 15 cm carry-on bag on board. For an additional fee from 15 eur to 30 eur, depending on your route, you can buy an additional larger carry-on bag of 56 x 45 x 25 cm.
It is cheaper to buy the lowest Economy Superlight fare and then add a second hand luggage at the third booking step than to pay the more expensive Economy Classic fare, which automatically includes both hand luggage.

The total weight of the hand luggage should not exceed 8 kg, but the dimensions are important.
Checked baggage
If you are flying on European flights only on the lowest "Economy Superlight" fare, you do not have checked baggage included. This can be purchased online at prices ranging from 30 eur to 65 eur.
Checked baggage up to 23 kg is already included in the Economy Classic fare. If you are planning to travel with 1 checked bag and 1 small hand luggage, it is more cost-effective to buy the lowest Economy Superlight fare and add the checked baggage only in the third booking step.
However, if you want an extra carry-on bag, it is worth buying the Economy Classic fare.
Checked baggage dimensions should not exceed 90 x 75 x 45 cm, but the weight is particularly important. It must be up to 23 kg.

Luggage and stroller for children
On all fares, you can carry a pushchair and child seat free of charge when travelling with children under 7 years old. The pushchair can be taken through security to the aircraft, where it can be handed over to the attendant.
Upon arrival, you can pick up the stroller again directly from the aircraft.
A child under 2 years old sitting on your lap is not allowed any additional luggage free of charge.
For children over 2 years old, the same rules apply as for adults.
Carriage of animals
Finnair only allows pets in the cabin up to a weight of 8 kg and only in a closed crate. The price is 60 eur for flights within Europe or 120 eur for flights outside Europe.
Animals in the baggage compartment are carried up to a weight of 75 kg including the crate. The price is 120 eur for flights within Europe or 600 eur for flights outside Europe.
