Check-in at the airport

Check-in at the airport is always free.

The check-in counter usually opens 4 hours before a long-haul flight and 2-3 hours before a local flight.

The closing time of the counter is usually 60 minutes before departure.

Online check-in

Online check-in is available 48 hours - 90 minutes before departure. For flights to the USA, online check-in is available up to 24 hours before departure.

You can print your boarding pass either at home or at an automated kiosk at the airport.

Alternatively, have your boardingpass sent to your mobile phone, then just scan the barcode at check-in. If you are travelling with luggage, you can drop it off at the express baggage drop-off counter.

You can also easily check in online via the Cathay Pacific mobile app (available on Google Play / App Store).

Seat selection

There is a fee for selecting a specific seat on the cheapest "Economy Light" fare.

The amounts vary according to the length of the flight and range between 150 hkd and 400 hkd.

If you do not want to pay for seat selection, skip this option and you will be assigned a random seat for free.
