About this deal

Eurowings is launching a very interesting new route, with Prague set to gain its first-ever regular direct flights to the Finnish city of Rovaniemi.

Rovaniemi lies in the far north of Lapland and is famous for its unique Santa Claus Village, which has a real Christmas atmosphere, especially in winter.

However, Lapland in winter offers plenty of other activities: skiing on exceptionally good snow, snowmobile trips into the wilderness, dog sledding or watching the Northern Lights.

Eurowings will operate flights on the Prague–Rovaniemi route once a week on Sundays from 20 December to 21 February.

The current lowest fare in the Basic fare category, including only a small piece of hand luggage, is 3,748 Kč for two dates in January.

The Smart fare, which includes one piece of checked luggage and one standard piece of hand luggage, costs 254 eur, whilst checking in skis will cost 60 eur (total for a return flight).

Will you make use of this new direct route, or will it end up like so many Eurowings routes from Prague, ceasing after just one season?
