We write this action as a recommendation to buy, but more as our view of the whole situation. When to buy tickets and when not to.

Etihad Airways' unusually cheap fares from Prague and Vienna to virtually all of Asia, from Sri Lanka via Thailand and Vietnam to the Philippines and the Seychelles, are active throughout today.

The fare is also being discussed in our discussion forum, where it was first brought to our attention by Sultan Mahagon bin Bordo.

Tickets are available mostly for April, May and sometimes June.

But of course you can also buy tickets directly through the airline's website etihad.com. Below is just one example of a destination, but realistically many more cities are available.

A trip through the Middle East

And this is where the problem lies - very close to the war zone.

The current situation around the conflict in Iran is still quite unpredictable and cancellations or changes to flights can come at almost any time.

Ticket change conditions

Etihad now has one "free" change even on the lowest fare, Basic.

But it needs to be read correctly.

A free change doesn't mean you change your ticket at no cost. It just means you don't pay a change fee as such.

• 👉 And it may be more than the original ticket price.

Our view - does it make sense?

Speaking for myself - I'm probably going to miss this promotion.

The risk of changes and cancellations is still too high in my opinion. And even the low price is not worth the risk to me personally. I'm not that flexible on time.

Plus, if there are problems, you have to take into account that communication with the airline can be lengthy and resolution can drag on for weeks.
