Sights and attractions
The most important monument is Fort Louis, which we write about in a separate location detail.
On the way to the fort, also stop at the small church of St-Martin-de-Tours, dating from 1941.
Marigot impresses with the many French-style cafés dotted around the harbour.
The town also serves as an important centre for shopping. You will find a large fish market in front of the port and several supermarkets and a department store with a variety of clothing, cosmetics and accessory shops around town.
