Transfer at Edinburgh Airport

Edinburgh

Passengers are served by one terminal with a division into an arrivals area (on the ground floor on the far left and far right) and check-in counters (on the ground floor in the middle of the terminal).

The security checkpoint is located on the first floor. There is no passport control on departure from the UK, so the transit area is common to all flights.

The terminal is relatively small and uncluttered and the longest distance from the airport entrance to the furthest gates is not even a 10 minute walk.

A downloadable map of the terminal can be found on the airport website.

Transfer between flights

Edinburgh Airport is not typically a transit point and a transfer purchased through an airline is exceptional here. This is one of the reasons why the arrival and departure areas are not connected through the transit area.

If you plan your own transfer at Edinburgh, you will need to go through the public area of the airport and through security back to the transit area. This applies even if you are travelling with hand luggage only.
