Charleroi is the second airport serving the Brussels conurbation and is mainly used by low-cost airlines. Ryanair and Wizz Air are based here. In addition to travel to Brussels, the airport is also convenient for travel throughout southern Belgium.
The airport is located 60 km south of Brussels and 10 km north of Charleroi. The terminal is open 24 hours a day.
Flights to Charleroi Airport are most often purchased from Ryanair, which operates one of its largest bases here. It flies almost 100 direct routes across Europe and to North Africa. Wizz Air operates flights to Central and Eastern Europe.
