Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport in a nutshell

Cathedral in Quito

Ecuador's largest international airport is located 37 km northeast of the city. The entire airport only opened in 2013, replacing the old and spatially very inadequate airport right in the city centre.

The Ecuadorian branches of Avianca and LATAM are based here.

Quito Airport is officially named Mariscal Sucre after one of the main leaders of the South American independence struggle.
