The third largest airport in the Azores is located on the island of Faial, about 10 km from its largest city, Horta.

Horta is currently served exclusively by Azores Airlines from Lisbon and SATA from the surrounding Azores islands (direct flights to Ponta Delgada, Terceira, Flores and Corvo airports).
