Barbados in a nutshell

Barbados

Barbados is the easternmost island of the Caribbean. It is located in the Lesser Antilles archipelago and is approximately 160 km from the main island belt. It is not of volcanic origin like the surrounding islands - its formation is attributed to the activity of the earth's plates that have lifted the seabed.

The island is one of the most vibrant, yet most developed of the Caribbean. It is very well prepared for tourists, and tourism is one of the main sources of income for the local economy.
