Internet and wi-fi

There is a free wi-fi network at the airport, which is overloaded most of the time and does not work at all in the arrivals or domestic terminal. More secure is your own simcard with prepaid data and internet.

Restaurants and shops

In the international terminal, you'll find a restaurant, bar and small bistro after security. Prices here are several times higher than anywhere else in Zanzibar.

In the domestic terminal, there is a small café in the outdoor area in front of the airport building.

The shops in the international terminal specialise almost exclusively in local souvenirs. You can also use the classic duty free shop.

There is no regular grocery store at Zanzibar Airport.

Luggage storage

Neither the domestic nor the international terminal offers luggage storage or automatic luggage lockers.

ATMs and currency exchange facilities

Pass by the exchange offices in the arrivals hall unnoticed as they do not offer favourable rates.

You may prefer to withdraw money from an ATM located in a booth in the car park outside the domestic terminal. It is a 2-minute walk from the international terminal to the domestic terminal.
