Vilnius International Airport in a nutshell

Trakkai Water Castle

Lithuania's main airport, 7 km south of Vilnius city centre, serves mainly flights to Western and Southern Europe and Scandinavia. There are no direct long-haul flights to Vilnius.

As Lithuania does not have its own airline, Wizz Air and Ryanair account for the largest share of flights.

The Latvian airline Air Baltic also operates one of its bases in Vilnius, flying to neighbouring countries, seasonal flights to southern Europe and flights to major European airports.

During trips to Lithuania, many travellers combine Vilnius Airport with Kaunas KUN Airport, 100 km away, which is served by a large number of Ryanair flights.
