Internet and wi-fi

Wi-fi is free throughout the airport for an unlimited amount of time. Connect to the _Free Airport WiFi network.

Shops and supermarket

Berlin Airport is quite well equipped with shops. You will come across several duty free shops, newsagents, grocery stores, souvenir shops or travel goods. Electronics or fashion shops are also available.

There is a significantly greater choice of shops after security checks, especially at terminals 1/2.

Terminal 5 currently remains equipped only with a duty free shop and a Relay newsagent.

Traditionally, grocery stores are the most popular:

• REWE: classic supermarket, public area at the entrance to the train station in the basement of terminals 1/2, open 24/7
• Take Away: mini-market, terminal 1 after security check (gate D2), open 5:00-22:00
• Hub Convenience: mini-market, Terminal 1 after security check (gate A36), open 5:00-22:00
• WHSmith: minimarket, Terminal 1 immediately after security check, open 3:00-23:00

There is a pharmacy in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1, open 7:00-21:00.

Restaurants and cafés

There are many restaurants across the airport, including cheap fast-food places like Burger King and Starbucks, most of which are in Terminal 1 and 2.

Most of the eateries are open from about 4:00 to 22:00, but there are also establishments open 24 hours a day.

• Kamps Bakery: café and bakery - Terminal 1/2 by the train station (public area), open 24/7
• Ick bin ein Berliner: bar and pub - Terminal 1, after security (Market Place), open 3:30-last departure
• Beans & Barley: pub and café - Terminal 2, after security check (Plaza), open 3:30-22:00
• Starbucks: coffee shop - Terminal 1/2 by the check-in desks (public area), open 3:00-21:30
• Sandwich Manufaktur: bakery and fast food - Terminal 1, arrivals (public area), open 6:00 am-last arrival

Luggage storage

You can store your luggage on Level U1 in the public area near the train station of Terminals 1/2.

Opening hours are 7:00-19:00 and for 24 hours of storage you pay 10 eur.

ATMs and exchange offices

Germany is one of the countries where cash will definitely come in handy.

Avoid exchange offices and Travelex ATMs with unfavourable exchange rates and instead withdraw your money from Berliner Volksbank or Sparkasse ATMs, which are located by the luggage belts, i.e. still in the transit area.

Vending machines

Vending machines selling drinks, sandwiches or sweets are located in all terminals before and after security. You can pay by card or cash.

Travelling with children

You can rent a free airport stroller for children at more than 20 locations after security in all terminals and return it at any time at another location.

There is a children's play area in the central post-security area (Market Place).

Drinking water

In the transit area of all terminals, there are cold drinking water fountains near the toilets from which you can fill your own bottle.

Observation deck

Enjoy the views of planes taking off and landing and visit the terrace in the public area of Terminals 1/2 on Level 4.

It is open every day from 8:00am-8:00pm and you pay to enter 3 eur.

Smoking rooms

Smokers will appreciate the special ventilated rooms even after security check in Terminal 1.

Smoking rooms are located near gates A02, A38, B02, B30 and C01.
