Bus to Alicante

The airport is only served by buses. The C-6 line runs to the centre of Alicante, to the train and bus stations (map and timetable: alicante.vectalia.es/linea-c-6) between 5:00-0:00 with an interval of 20 minutes. The journey takes less than half an hour.

You can pay the ticket in cash or by card at the driver for EUR 3.85.

Tourist day tickets are not valid on the way to the airport (see the Alicante guide for more details).

Line C6 circles the entire historic centre of Alicante and also stops at the main bus and train stations, as well as the port. When travelling from Alicante to the airport, don't confuse line C-6 with line 6, which doesn't go to the airport at all.

  • Price: 3,85 eur
  • Travel time to the centre: 20 minutes
  • Frequency: 20 minutes
  • Last and first connections: runs 24/7

Car rental

If Alicante airport serves as a base for you to travel inland or hop around the Costa Blanca, then hiring a car is definitely the best option. There are dozens of car rental companies at the airport, whose prices can be compared and booked on the web, for example rentalcars.com.

Prices range from 150 eur to 300 eur per week, depending on the size of the car or the rental company you choose.

Taxi

The price of a taxi to the city centre is 30 eur, to the bus station is approximately 20 eur. The taxi rank is right outside the arrivals hall and the taxi drivers strictly use the meter. You will rarely encounter unfair treatment.
