Nai Harn Beach

Nai Harn Beach

Head to the south of Phuket Island and enjoy a relaxing day at the beautiful, tranquil Nai Harn Beach.

Located on the outskirts of Rawai near the man-made Nai Harn Lake, it is one of Phuket's most popular beaches.

Beach Facilities

The beach is about 450 metres long and is squeezed into an idyllic bay, which is bordered by green-covered hills.

The entire beach is covered in fine white sand, as is customary in Phuket. Nai Harin is a very pleasant beach as it is lined with palm trees and mature pine trees which provide very pleasant shade.

The palm trees even grow right on the beach, so you can be in the shade all the time without using one of the many sunbed and umbrella rentals.

The small promenade is then lined with several restaurants and beach equipment shops.

There are no public toilets or showers available on the beach.

Accommodation at Nai Harn

Although the beach is outside of town, there are some very nice hotels and resorts along the beach. Stay at Nai Harn Beach if you're looking for tranquility and don't need the big city right at your fingertips.

Transportation to the beach

Nai Harn Beach is located about 2 km from the centre of Rawai.

You can park right next to the beach in the large free parking lot, and if it happens to be full, you can park anywhere along the wide streets in the area.

Blue songthaews run all the way to the beach from Phuket Town via Chalong and Rawai. The fare is 40 thb and pick-ups run about once an hour.

Smart Buses running the HKT Airport - Surin - Kamala - Patong - Karon - Kata - Rawai route do not stop directly at the beach. The nearest stop is at the junction in the southern part of Rawai (location at google.com/maps) about 1.5 km from the beach.
