Kungliga Slottet, as the castle is called in Swedish, is partially open to the public and invites you to visit the beautiful chambers.

What to see and why visit the palace?

Stockholm Palace is the city's largest historic building. Its Baroque architecture hints at the time of its construction: the palace was built between 1697 and 1760.

The simple square floor plan creates an impression of grandeur that will be enhanced inside in the large courtyard.

The palace has over 660 rooms, of which about a third are open to the public, including the treasury or the royal chambers.

The admission fee also includes access to the Tre Konnor Museum, where you can learn all about the original 13th century castle that stood on the site of the current castle.

Entrance fees and opening hours

The palace is open to the public every day from 10:00. From November to April it closes at 16:00 and at 17:00 the rest of the year.

Tickets can be bought on site or online via the official website: kungligaslotten.actorsmartbook.se.
