A visit to the tropical glass pavilion Palmhuset or Palm House will delight not only botany lovers. The 1,000 square metre pavilion is located in the heart of Trädgårdsföreningen Park in the centre of Gothenburg. It was built in 1878 in the style of the Crystal Palace in London and is still preserved in its original state.

If you bring a bite to eat, you can sit on the chairs or have a picnic on the raised floors of the main part of the pavilion.

Admission and opening hours

Admission is free to both Palmhuset and the entire park.

The Palmhuset is open daily, during the following hours:

  • June, July and August: 10:00 - 19:00
  • September to May: 10:00 - 16:00

The opening hours of the park itself are from 7am to 8pm in summer and from 7am to 6pm in other months.
