The rugged coastline around Cape Carbonara, bordered by beaches of fine snow-white sand, the photogenic hilly surroundings and the villages with their many restaurants open late into the night - Villasimius has it all.

Beaches and swimming

In Villasimius and its surroundings you will visit beaches that are regularly in the top 10 best beaches in Sardinia.

All the local beaches offer a wealth of facilities in the form of sunbed and umbrella hire, bars and restaurants, as well as a range of water activities. Thanks to the calm waters and the gentle entrance to the sea, the local beaches are also suitable for families with children.

  • Spiaggia di Porto Giunco - one of the most famous is this beach in the small town of Notteri, which is bordered on both sides by water. On one side you can bathe in the clear waters of the Mediterranean, while on the other side you can take a dip in the small saltwater shallow lake Stagno di Notteri.
  • Spiaggia di Villasimius - at almost 1 km long, this beach is the largest in the area and the closest to the town of Villasimius itself. Although it is the most visited, here you can also enjoy the tranquillity of the crystal waters.
  • Spiaggia di Campulongu - the largest beach on the western part of Cape Carbonara, with its crystal clear water and good conditions for kitesurfing
  • The beaches of Cape Carbonara - at the very tip of Capo Carbonara you can swim in a multitude of small beaches surrounded by beautiful nature

Accommodation

You can stay in cheaper apartments right in the centre of Villasimius, where you can get a night for 2 from around 110 eur in high season and from 80 eur in June or September. However, the disadvantage is the greater distance to the sea (about 2 km).

There are also plenty of apartments and hotels right by the beach, but prices start at 130 eur per night for 2.
