Costa Rei

Costa Rei

The thriving tourist resort of Costa Rei - the Royal Coast - boasts some truly royal beaches with fine snow-white sand and quite extensive facilities.

The resort is roughly 70km from Cagliari CAG Airport.

Beaches and swimming

There is de facto only one beach on the Costa Rei, over 8km long, which starts in the north at Capoferrato, continues through the main resort of Costa Rei and ends in the south at the small resort of Sant'Elmo.

After a short interruption by a small cliff, the swimming continues on the beach of Cala Sinzias, about 2 km long, at Casa della Marina. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming, including more secluded spots without crowds of tourists, on the Costa Rei.

On the beaches everywhere you can rent sunbeds, umbrellas, pedal boats or take advantage of the many offers for various water activities.

Accommodation

The entire coastline around Costa Rei is one of the cheaper resorts within Sardinia. Even so, expect prices in high season to start from 80 eur to 100 eur per night for 2, however outside of the holidays, with a bit of luck and booking at least 3-4 months in advance, you can get accommodation under 75 eur per night in a double room.
